Atometic exists for a simple reason: rigorous science, clearly explained, changes what a business can do. I bring the precision of academic research to commercial problems, and I make the detail accessible to everyone who has to act on it.

I'm Dr Luke D. Savory. I set up Atometic to take what I've learned over a career in chemistry, industrial R&D, and software, and put it to work for teams that need senior scientific input without taking on a full-time hire.

I completed my BSc and PhD in Physical Chemistry at The University of Hull, then spent seven years in industrial R&D at a leading multinational PPE company, turning the science into new products, materials and domain knowledge for enhanced marketing messaging. More recently I moved into the software sector, which gives me a useful perspective when a problem doesn't fit neatly into one discipline of chemistry, software, or data science.

Atometic Consultants Ltd is the vehicle through which I take on fractional work at whatever level fits: advising at chief scientific officer level, setting direction as a senior or principal scientist, or working hands-on as a researcher, chemist, or lab manager. Right now it's just me, so when you engage Atometic you're working directly with me on whatever you bring in. It's set up so it can grow beyond me when the right opportunities and people arrive.
