Keynote at OEESC 2026

I've been invited to deliver a keynote at the Occupational and Environmental Exposure of Skin to Chemicals (OEESC) conference in Manchester, September 2026.

OEESC 2026 keynote announcement

Combining AI and Occupational Exposure Science

The talk is a practical perspective on using AI in occupational exposure science: where I think it has genuine potential to help, and where we need to tread carefully, particularly when it comes to chemical safety advice and research.

Alongside Atometic, I also work at Sauce Consultants, a Hull-based software development agency, where my role spans business analysis, AI/ML research, and software engineering. That combination of hands-on scientific experience and day-to-day software work is what I'll be drawing on to talk through both the promise and the pitfalls of applying AI in safety-critical domains.

About OEESC

OEESC brings together researchers, occupational health professionals, and industry specialists working across dermatology, exposure and risk assessment, permeation methodology, and exposure controls. Accepted abstracts from the conference will be published in Annals of Work Exposures and Health (Oxford University Press).
