Dr Luke Savory, our founder and Principal Scientist, has been invited to deliver a keynote at the Occupational and Environmental Exposure of Skin to Chemicals (OEESC) conference in Manchester, September 2026.

OEESC 2026 keynote announcement

Combining AI and Occupational Exposure Science

The talk will offer a practical perspective on using artificial intelligence in occupational exposure science, examining where AI has genuine potential to enhance the field, and where we need to tread carefully, particularly when it comes to chemical safety advice and research.

Alongside his work at Atometic, Luke works at Sauce Consultants, a Hull-based software development agency, where his role spans business analysis, AI/ML research, and software engineering. That combination of hands-on scientific experience and practical software development puts him in a strong position to speak to both the promise and the pitfalls of applying AI in safety-critical domains.

About OEESC

OEESC brings together researchers, occupational health professionals, and industry specialists working across dermatology, exposure and risk assessment, permeation methodology, and exposure controls. Accepted abstracts from the conference will be published in Annals of Work Exposures and Health (Oxford University Press).
